On the occasion of Holi, a 104-feet tall flag mast hoisting the national tricolor was inaugurated today at MG Marg in Gangtok by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang in presence
On the occasion of Holi, a 104-feet tall flag mast hoisting the national tricolor was inaugurated today at MG Marg in Gangtok by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang in presence of Governor Ganga Prasad and a host of other dignitaries.
Touted as the tallest monumental mast in Sikkim, the flag pole will reportedly be illuminated will lights from top to bottom, thus making it visible from great distances even during the night.
Furthermore, similar monumental flags are also reportedly in the works which will be erected in all district headquarters in the coming days.
Meanwhile, CM Tamang and Governor Ganga Prasad were also seen taking part in the Holi festivities post the inauguration.
