Arunachal: State PHE Minister visits Longliang village fire victims, hands over relief package

A day after massive fire engulfed Longliang village and burned down 114 houses to ashes and claimed two victims, State PHE Minister Wangki Lowang, accompanied by MLAs Wanglam sawin, Chakat Aboh, Tirap Deputy Commissioner and other district officials visited Longliang yesterday.

PHE Minister Wangki Lowang informed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu has assured to provide necessary relief assistance to the fire victims and to the deceased family as per assessment made by the District Administration. Lowang, on behalf of Chief Minister Pema Khandu handed over one lakh each to the family of the two deceased.

Furthermore, an amount of one lakh has also been provided for all the fire victims, also Wangki Lowang assured to take up matters on priority for issuing of CGI sheets to all the fire victims.

As immediate relief, essentials including rice, Blankets were also provided to the victims, meanwhile the district admin has opened a helpline for Donation towards the Longliang Fire victims

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein donated Rs 15 lakh while Eastern Parliamentary MP Tapir Gao announced Rs 10 lakh for procurement of required materials.

Moreover the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union has decided to organise state wide voluntary Donation drive starting on Monday across the State in all the District Headquarters.
