A total of 11 persons have been arrested in connection with the recent Diplunga mob lynching case.

The incident which took place on Wednesday at Sotiya’s Diplunga tea estate saw four people being attacked on suspicions of being cattle thieves.

The incident led to the death of one Deben Rajbongshi. The three other persons identified as Phulsan Sahu, Pujen Rajbongshi and Bijoy Nayak are undergoing medical treatment at a local hospital where their conditions are stated to be critical.

The incident which was a call back to the horrible Dokmoka mob lynching case earlier this year saw the Sotiya police take swift action to nab the culprits.

The arrested have been identified as Toofan Munda, Shankar Munda, Mahendra Kachar, Jiban Patar, Keshav Ghatowar, Hari Singh Patar, Deben Munda, Amit Ghatowar, Pranab Turi, Karma Munda and Dipendra Patar.
