North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor and Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that final decisions on the seat-sharing with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for the upcoming assembly elections will be taken tomorrow.
“There will be a meeting of AGP leadership with BJP national president JP Nadda and union home minister Amit Shah tomorrow. The seat-sharing will be finalised in the meeting,” said Dr. Sarma after attending a meeting with AGP leadership at AGP president Atul Bora’s residence on Tuesday.
“I believe, this issue will be clear by 3-4 PM tomorrow,” he said.
Minister Sarma clarified that there is no complexity between the two parties over the issue of seat-sharing.
“The pact of seat-sharing will be finalised with due respect to the AGP,” he added.
