The 12th Guru Tulku Rinpoche of Thubchog Gatsel Ling Monastery consecrated a 12-feet tall stupa near Power House Market road in Bomdila on Thursday.
The stupa was constructed at the behest of the public to save the sinking zone near the Postal Colony, Pangchen colony and Power House market in Bomdila.
Each year, during rainy season the land sinks around the area raising concerns for the people.
Meanwhile, Guru Tulku Rinpoche urged the people to take care of Mother Nature, avoid deforestation, and encouraged everyone to plant a sapling and raise it into a tree.
