The United Peoples Party Liberal (UPPL) on Monday expanded their council by adding six new representatives as Executive Members, informed Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), chief executive member, Pramod Boro during a press meet.
The six new Executive Members in the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly took oath on Monday in Kokrajhar. With this, the total number of members in the Pramod Boro-led BTC has gone up to 15.
The new executive members who took oath are Daobaisa Boro, Dr. Nilut Swargiary, Rakesh Boro, Dharma Narayan Das, Reorewa Narzihary and Sanjib Tanti. The newly inducted members include three each from UPPL and BJP.
Speaking to the media, Pramod Boro said, “We have included six new EMs in the BTC. The six new EM’s are Daobaisa Boro, Dr. Nilut Swargiary, Rakesh Boro, Dharma Narayan Das, Reorewa Narzihary, Sanjib Tanti. We have added more people and our team has grown stronger. Now we will carry on the developmental works in BTC.”
