The Coordination Committee for Manipur integrity is expecting to meet Union Home Minister during the latter’s visit to the state to hold a discussion on the Naga issue with chief minister N Biren Singh and leader of opposition Okram Ibobi Singh.

The UCM General Secretary and COCOMI Assistant Coordinator, Khuraijam Athouba said that while Naga issue has to be resolved sooner or later, Manipur’s territorial integrity and identity should remain intact.

Athouba also spoke of the assurance given to the COCOMI delegation by the NNPGs during their meeting in Dimapur on the Naga issue.

He informed that the NNPG has more than made it clear that a final pact when it comes, will deal with only the Nagas of Nagaland and not those who identify themselves as Nagas outside the boundary of Nagaland.
