In Tripura, unidentified miscreants destroyed an entire edition of a daily newspaper Udaipur under Gomati district on Saturday.
The incident took place when a vehicle carrying copies of the newspaper, reached Udaipur Rajarbag motor stand, where a group of miscreants destroyed the newspapers and threw them on the street.
After the incident came to light, a team of senior journalists met Tripura DGP at the police headquarter in Agartala, later on the team visited the site and met Gomati district SP Laki Chowhan.
The team condemned the incident and demanded that the culprits should be arrest soon.
Meanwhile, the BJP in Tripura has also condemned the incident. Party spokesperson Nobendu Bhattacharjee urged the police to further investigate the matter and nab the culprits.
