The crucial consultative meet on Naga Peace Talks called by the Nagaland Government adopted a 7-point resolution primarly appealing for unity among all negotiating groups for achieving one solution at the earliest.

The resolution was backed by all 39 organisations present in the consultative meet barring the Naga Hoho which left the meeting venue for allegedly not being given time to speak. Over 200 representatives from various civil society groups attended the meet.

The consultative meet held at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima adopted a resolution appealing all negotiating parties to come together under a spirit of oneness, mutual trust and understanding with sincerity and commitment towards achieving ‘One solution for One people’ as early as possible.

Moreover, the resolution also urged the Naga political groups to honour and respect the Covenant of Reconciliation and maintain the sanctity of non-violence in letter and spirit for a shared Naga future as members of one Naga family.

It also appreciated the Government of India for acknowledging the Unique History of the Nagas and for recognising the Naga issue as a political issue.
