NEDA convenor and Assam Health & Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the October 15 consultative meet on Naga issue called by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be extremely crucial.

Significantly, Sarma said that both the Government of India and the Naga negotiators know each others position by now.

Indicating that integration of Naga contiguous areas is not a possibility, Sarma said the Northeast states would not have any problems with the final solution.

The Nagaland government has called for a consultative meeting with stakeholders on October 15 in Kohima.

The state government in a statement stated that it is calling for a consultative meeting of all the stakeholders to discuss the Naga political issue and the on-going peace talks between the Naga national political organisations and the government of India.
