With the Naga Peace Talks reaching an advanced stage and the final deal likely to be inked soon, apprehensions in Manipur have once again started to run high.

The Congress in Manipur on Friday warned of any tampering of Manipur’s territory for a final settlement of the Naga political issue.

Manipur Congress Vice President Ratan Kumar said that the final Naga talks agreement must not affect Manipur’s territorial integrity anyway.

Meanwhile, the United Committee Manipur (UCM) has said that the final settlement of the Naga Political issue must remain confined to Nagaland.

Speaking to Northeast Live, UCM General Secretary Khuraijam Athouba expressed disappointment over the fact that the MHA has not yet approached Manipur based CSOs over the issue for their opinion.
