A cadre of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA-Independent) was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off a team of 19 Assam Rifles reportedly arrested the militant from Chanlang district under Nampong Police Station in Arunachal Pradesh.
According to sources, the cadre identified as Bhaity Asom (30) is a resident of Balijukai village of Majuli, Assam.
Security forces recovered a 9mm pistol, Myanmar currency, a wireless radio and few objectionable documents from his possession. Police have initiated investigation for further details.
