Nagaland has registered 38 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,752.
Of the fresh cases, 31 cases have been detected in Kohima, 3 from Mon and 2 each from Wokha and Peren districts.
Health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID-19 status informed that the new cases have been detected out of 458 samples sent for testing.
“38 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 458 samples tested. 31 in Kohima, 3 in Mon, 2 each in Wokha & Peren. Necessary contact tracing has been activated by the IDSP team to contain the spread of virus,” Phom tweeted.
Phom further informed that 214 more infected patients in the state have recovered from the disease and kept under surveillance. Among the recovered, 94 are from Dimapur, 88 from Kohima and 32 from Zunheboto.
A total of 2,610 patients have recovered from the disease, while the number of active cases stands at 1,125.
So far, the state has recorded 8 deaths due to the deadly virus.
