Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal hoisted the national flag on the occasion of 74th Independence Day at Judges Field in Guwahati.
In his speech, CM Sonowal thanked the COVID-19 warriors including health woprkers, police personnel and other emergency service workers for their fight against the disease.
He also paid tribute to the victims of the pandemic and other disasters that hit the state.
Sonowal also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in handling different issues of the country.
Sonowal touched upon various issues of the state and reiterated his government’s commitment towards the peace and development of Assam.
