Chief Minister’s police medal for 29 Assam cops

On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day celebrations, the Governor of Assam, Jagdish Mukhi will confer the Chief Minister’s Police Medal for outstanding service to 29 Assam Police personnel

On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day celebrations, the Governor of Assam, Jagdish Mukhi will confer the Chief Minister’s Police Medal for outstanding service to 29 Assam Police personnel and 6 Fire and Emergency services personnel.

As many as 35 personnel from Assam have been selected to be honoured with the Chief Minister’s Police Medal for their ‘outstanding service.

Of the 35 personnel, 29 are from the ranks of the Assam Police, while 6 personnel are from the Fire and Emergency Services of Assam.

Among those to receive the honour will be the female officers Indrani Baruah, Commandant of 4th Assam Police Battalion in Guwahati, Amanjeet Kaur, Superintendent of Police Nalbari and Subhashini Sankaran, DCP (EAST) Guwahati.

The names of these personnel have been shortlisted from scores of in line for nominations.
