Inter-district travel in Assam will be allowed on Mondays and Tuesdays every week, stated chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna in an order issued on Sunday.

“Inter-district movement of people is allowed on Monday and Tuesday only. No separate permission/approval/e-permit will be required for inter-district movement,” the order stated.

However, the 12-hour night curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM will continue in the state.

On the other hand, weekend lockdown will also remain active all over the state.

The order will remain effective from 7 PM, August 2 to 7 PM, August 14.

Meanwhile, continuing an impressive recovery rate, 1,085 more patients were discharged from different hospitals and COVID care centres across Assam.
