Eight more COVID-19 cases reported in Nagaland; tally at 355

Eight more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland, taking the states tally to 355 on Thursday. The fresh cases are from quarantine centres in Kohima and Dimapur districts.

The fresh cases are from quarantine centres in Kohima and Dimapur districts. With these new cases, the total number of positive cases in the State has gone up to 355.

State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom on Thursday morning tweeted, “8 new cases of COVID-19 positive have been reported out of 315 samples tested. 5 patients from Kohima QC & 3 from Dimapur QC.”

Meanwhile, 12 more patients in the state – 8 from Dimapur and 2 each from Kohima and Peren have recovered from the disease on Thursday.

Dimapur district has reported the highest number of cases at 159, followed by Pheren (85), Kohima (76), Mon (23), Tuensang (8), Zunheboto (3), and Phek (1).

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 195, while 160 people have recovered from the disease so far.
