The fresh cases were detected out of 275 samples sent for COVID-19 testing.

Health minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that out of the 69 fresh cases, 65 patients are from Peren quarantine centre, 3 from Dimapur quarantine centre and one from Zunheboto quarantine centre.

“Out of 275 samples tested, 69 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported. 65 patients from Peren QC, 3 from Dimapur QC & 1 from Zunheboto QC,” Phom tweeted.

(Positive : 280 Active : 139 Recovered : 141 Death : 00)

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 139 while 141 persons have recovered from the disease so far.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister on Monday inspected the BSL-Level 2 lab at Christian Institute Of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) in Dimapur.

Phom said that the Laboratory is on the verge of completion and the quality of the work will not be compromised due to which it is taking time.

He assured that the inauguration will be done after the approval of ICMR and the lab will be soon ready to cater to the needs of the people of the state.
