Two more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Sikkim on Wednesday, taking the overall tally in the Himalayan state to 70.
Among the 2 fresh cases, one is an 18-year-old female from Kyongsa, West Sikkim and the other is a 52-year-old male from Tathangchen, Gangtok.
The female patient had returned to the state from New Delhi on June 7 and was staying at a quarantine facility at Pelling, West Sikkim, where she tested positive on June 16.
The 52-year-old patient had returned from Kolkata on June 14 and was subsequently admitted to STNM Hospital with flu like symptoms on June 15.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man, who had returned from the national capital, died on Tuesday night at the state capital due to Tuberculosis, even though all his test reports for COVID-19 were negative.
The number of active cases in state stands at 66, while four persons have recovered from the deadly virus.
