9 more COVID-19 cases reported in Mizoram; total count 102

Nine more positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Mizoram, taking the total number of cases in the state to 102.

Out of 135 samples tested at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) hospital lab, 9 samples were confirmed positive on Thursday. The fresh cases include 2 Males and 7 Females aged between 22 to 46.

All positive patients are returnees from Delhi, Maharastra and West Bengal, of which, 8 individuals are placed under institutional quarantine and one in home quarantine.

Among the new cases, 8 persons hail from Aizawl District while 1 belongs to Mamit district.

Chief Minister Zoramthanga taking to Twitter confirmed the development. The Chief Minister, highlighting the need for unity in his tweet, said that there is no ‘me or you’ in this fight; rather it’s ‘Us’ who has to win this war.”

The number of active cases in the state have now increased to 102, while one person has recovered form the disease.
