Five new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Nagaland on Monday. The total number of confirmed positive cases in the state has mounted to 123.

Of the 5 cases, 3 had returned from Gurgaon, Haryana and 2 from Chennai. With this the number of active cases rose to 115, while 8 have recovered.

Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom on Monday morning tweeted that five new cases have been reported out of 220 samples tested. He informed two persons were detected in the Dimapur Quarantine centre, while 3 were found positive in the Kohima quarantine Centre.

“5 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 220 samples tested. 2 from Dimapur Quarantine Centre & 3 from Kohima Quarantine Centre,” S Pangnyu Phom tweeted.

(Positive : 123 Active : 115 Recovered : 08 Death : 00)

Earlier on Sunday, 11 more had tested positive for COVID-19, taking the state’s tally to 118. Among the positive cases, 10 persons had returned to the state from Chennai and one from Delhi.
