Another fresh COVID-19 positive case was reported in Mizoram, taking the overall tally to 14. One of the swab samples tested at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) came back positive on late Tuesday night.
The patient is a 30-year-old man who had returned from Delhi on May 31. He was admitted to ZMC due to fever and later his swab samples tested positive for COVID-19.
Contact tracing efforts have been initiated in this regard. With the detection of one more case, the total active case tally now stands at 13.
Mizoram recently lost its Covid-free status after the detection of 12 positive cases in the state.
All of the fresh cases are returnees from outside the state. Prior to this, the state had just one Covid patient who was discharged on May 9 after recovery.
