Mizoram on Tuesday reported 12 fresh COVID-19 positive cases making the state lose its Covid free status. The 12 fresh cases include 11 women and one man.

Reportedly, all of them are returnees from Delhi and Kolkata. Of the positive cases, 10 are from Delhi, while 2 are from Kolkata.

As per official sources, all twelve cases are currently admitted at the Zoram Medical College in Aizawl. Of them, one was already admitted at the hospital, while the remaining 11 were shifted to the hospital from the quarantine centre.

Reportedly, all of the twelve fresh cases are between the age groups of 18 years to 40 years.

Prior to this, the state had just one COVID-19 patient who was discharged on May 9.

Mizoram has been Covid free since then until now. Currently, Mizoram has 12 active cases with the latest development. Total cases in Mizoram now stands at 13.
