Six more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Friday, taking the total cases count to 27. Among the fresh cases, 3 are from South West Garo Hills,
Six more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Friday, taking the total cases count to 27.
Among the fresh cases, 3 are from South West Garo Hills, 1 each from West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills.
All positive patients are returnees to the state from Maharashtra, Bangalore, West Bengal and Chennai. They are asymptomatic and are currently under quarantine.
“6 more residents who had returned to the State have tested positive for COVID-19. 3 from South West Garo Hills, 1 from West Garo Hills, 1 from East Khasi Hills, and 1 from West Khasi Hills. They had come from Maharashtra, Bangalore, West Bengal and Chennai. All are under quarantine & asymptomatic,” Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma tweeted.
The number of active cases in the state has climbed to 14, while 12 have recovered and one dead.
