Five more persons on Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya. The total number of active cases in the state has risen to 7.

The 5 individuals had recently returned from Delhi and Haryana. The positive patients are asymptomatic and are admitted at the Corona Care Centre in Shillong.

Taking to Twitter, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma wrote,”Five more people who came recently from Delhi-Haryana have been tested positive for COVID19. They are at Corona Care Centre, Shillong and asymptomatic. Total active cases in the state as of now is 7 (2+5).”

On May 25, a person, who had travelled from Chennai along with the 14th positive case, turned out to be COVID-19 positive. The person was kept in isolation since the day of arrival.
