Twelve new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Assam on Monday evening, 9 from Lakhimpur and 3 from Sivasagar district.
All twelve were in quarantine. Total cases in the State has risen to 526, with 457 active cases.
The state has recorded the biggest single-day spike today, with 134 testing positive for the virus.
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “12 new cases of #COVID19+ reported. Swabs for testing taken before people sent for quarantine. 9 Lakhimpur, 3 Sivasagar.”
