Meghalaya reports fresh COVID-19 case; one tests positive in Shillong

One more person have tested positive for COVID-19 in Shillong, taking the total number of positive cases in Meghalaya to 13. The development was confirmed by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma
One more person have tested positive for COVID-19 in Shillong, taking the total number of positive cases in Meghalaya to 13.
The development was confirmed by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on his official Twitter handle.
Sangma tweeted, “Unfortunately we have another positive case in Shillong. It’s a person working in the same house. As a precaution health department was retesting all the primary contacts and in the process we found this positive case. The person is safe and healthy and showing no symptoms.”
The state currently has 2 active COVID-19 cases. Earlier, 10 patients were declared recovered after they were found negative, while a 69-year-old doctor from Bethany hospital succumbed to the virus.
