As part of government’s efforts to cease the trans-border movement of people amidst the outbreak of COVID-19, about 220 metre long barb-wire fencing erection along the Indo-Myanmar border at Pakmul in Manipur’s Churachandpur has been finally completed.

A company of IRB in addition to the existing strength of Behiang Police station is patrolling the villages to keep strict vigil on the cross border movement as measures to stop movement to and from Myanmar.

SDPO Churachandpur has also been stationed at Behiang police station to monitor and supervise all activities along the border in coordination with the Assam Rifles.

Also, a temporary accommodation for state security personnel who have been moved into the area to check the cross border movement few days back has also been completed.
