Meghalaya: 46 COVID-19 samples tested negative at Barpeta Medical College Hospital

All 46 samples from Meghalaya which were sent to Assam’s Barpeta Medical College and Hospital have tested negative.

This was confirmed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in the social media.

Earlier, on Wednesday results of a total of 118 samples were declared of which over 100 tested negative and 6 were set for re-test.

Notably, tests of 216 samples from Meghalaya were carried out at NEIGRIHMS, Gauhati Medical College Hospital and the Barpeta Medical College Hospital, post the detection of first COVID-19 case, the Bethany doctor who succumbed to the virus in the wee hours yesterday.

Apart from the 6 samples, which were tested positive at the NEIGRIHMS yesterday, all other samples have tested negative so far.
