Manipur: 19 quarantined after man with travel history to Moreh tests COVID-19 positive in Bengaluru

The Coronavirus scare in Manipur has escalated after a person hailing from Bengaluru who had visited border town Moreh was tested positive.

It may be mentioned that the individual along with his family members were staying at a hotel in Moreh in Ward Number 3 from February 25 till March 11.

Subsequent to this the individual along with his family members left for Bengaluru on March 12. The person developed complications and was tested positive on April 8.

Following this, 19 persons including hotel staffers as well as a few relatives of the individual have been taken to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for necessary tests.

All the 19 individuals are currently in quarantined at the RIMS.
