The first COVID-19 testing lab in Mizoram has been set up at the Zoram Medical College in Aizawl and is operational from today onwards.

The testing lab was inaugurated by State Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana.

Earlier, the samples from the State were tested at the COVID-19 testing lab at the Silchar Medical College Hospital in Assam.

Mizoram, so far has reported only 1 case of COVID-19, when a pastor from the State with travel history of visiting the Netherlands was tested positive on 25th March.
