A migrant worker from Meghalaya on Monday allegedly committed suicide at Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Aldrin Lyngdoh.
Hours before allegedly hanging himself inside his rented accommodation, Aldrin Lyngdoh, who was working in a restaurant at Agra, had posted in his Facebook, accusing his employer of not supporting him during the lockdown.
According to reports, Lyngdoh was found hanging inside his rented house after they were alerted by Meghalaya police about the migrant workers fear and frustration owing to the lockdown.
Meghalaya Home Minister Lakhmen Rymbui confirmed the development and said the incident was unfortunate and shocking.
