The Manipur government is all set to build a new 200-bed quarantine centre in Imphal West within the next two weeks.
The quarantine centre in Imphal West will be built as part of capacity building measures in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The 200-bedded quarantine centre will come up at Langthabal Phumlou Loukul.
The new centre is being set up in addition to the existing centres operating in the state.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh along with some MLAs and high ranking officials inspected the site today.
Sources informed that a full fledged government hospital will be constructed in the site at a later stage.
