The ruling MDA coalition is all set to call an all-party meeting in the wake of the current situation in Meghalaya.
While chief minister Conrad Sangma informed that the Additional Chief Secretary has already been directed to issue a notification to this effect, he added that not only political parties but other stakeholders will also be taken on board during the meeting.
It may be mentioned that the opposition in Meghalaya has been demanding the State government to call an all-party met to discuss the current law and order situation in the state.
The PDF, which is a part of the ruling MDA coalition, had also shot a letter to the CM demanding an all-party meet.
Situation has been tense in Shillong, where curfew was clamped following the recent violence in the state that led to the deaths of 3 people including a KSU leader.
