According to reports, one person succumbed to injuries after being stabbed at the Bara Bazar area in the heart of Shillong city on Saturday morning.

5 others were also severely injured after being assaulted and stabbed in the same area by miscreants. The injured have been admitted to the Shillong Civil Hospital.

Earlier, one person was killed during violent clashes at Ichamati under Shella constituency in East Khasi Hills district yesterday.

Meanwhile, curfew has been clamped again in areas falling under the Sadar and Lumdinjiri police stations in Shillong. Though curfew was lifted in the city at 8 AM, prohibitory orders fearing deterioration of law and order.

Reports are also coming in that another case of assault has also taken place. However, details into the incident is still awaited.
