Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh Tapir Gao who had earlier taken up issues of Chinese incursion into Indian territory, recently spoke about the redrawing of India’s map in the Lok Sabha.
Gao has asked the Centre to redraw the map of India and do a proper demarcation of the state’s boundary.
The MP had spoken on the matter in the Lok Sabha on February 5 during the zero hour.
Gao had said that the Survey of India which prepared the Atlas during the British rule has kept out several areas of the state.
He alleged that Angie Valley, which is located in remote eastern part of Anini district of the state, is drawn more than 100 kilometers inside the Chinese territory.
The Arunachal East MP also said that some areas of Anjaw district like Kajap and Kayo valley which fall within Indian territory have been kept out of the map of the country.
