A crucial meeting of the high-level committee for implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord is underway at the Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.
The committee in all likelihood is set to finalise the report including their recommendations today.
Following this the Committee will submit the report to the Government in a couple of days.
The term of the high-power committee, which expires on February 15, was formed in July last year to put forward its suggestions on implementations of the Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.
Clause 6 of the Assam Accord promises constitutional, legislative and administrative safeguards to protect, preserve and promote the culture, social, lingustic identity and heritage of the people of Assam.
