The High Level Committee on the implementation of Clause 6 of Assam Accord is expected to submit its final report within the next 10 days.
The committee had its term of 6 months which will end on January 15. The draft report is ready and the committee members are giving final touches before submitting it to the Union Home Ministry, sources said.
It may be mentioned that few members of the committee led by Justice (retired) Biplab Kumar Sarma met Union Home Amit Shah in New Delhi yesterday.
Details of the meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be discussed with other committee members on January 17 in Guwahati.
The committee members will also be meeting the Attorney General and Solicitor General of India to discuss legal matters pertaining to some of the recommendations.
