So far Maharashtra is leading the medal tally with 27 medals to its kitty at the Khelo India Youth Games. Maharshtra’s medal haul included 7 gold, 8 silver and 12 Bronze.

Close on the heels of Maharashtra is Uttar Pradesh which stands second in the medal tally with 12 medals to its credit.

While Delhi stood third in the medals tally thus far with 12 medals under its belt.

The surprise package in the Mega Sporting spectacle was Tripura after having bagged 4 Gold medals along with one silver in their overall tally of 5 medals under their belt.

Hosts Assam so far has bagged 3 medals under their belt in the Khelo India Games thus far.

Uttar Pradesh’s Jatin Kumar Kanojiya continued his golden run in the Khelo India Youth Games with 3 Gold medals. Jatin won his third gold in the under-17 Artistic Gymnastics on Saturday.

While, Madhya Pradesh’s Vivek Kumar bagged gold in the Under-17 javelin throw event. In the Under-17 girls long jump Telengana’s Nandini won a gold medal.

Maharashtra’s Arjun has bagged gold in 3000 meter race of boys under 17 and Gujarat Ajit won gold in 5000 Boys under-21 meter race.

Priyanka Dasgupta, hailing from Dipa Karmakar’s home city of Agartala grabbed the spotlight on Day 1 as she did Tripura proud in the gymnastics competition, clinching the Girls Under-17 All-Around crown in the Khelo India Youth on the opening day of Khelo India 2020.
