Khasi Students’ Union General Secretary, Donald Thabah talking to Northeast Live said that it has taken more than two years to resettle the government staff who are staying in Harijan colony and also to evict the illegal settlers.
The Khasi Students’ Union said that it is high time for the Meghalaya government to come clean on its proposal of the High Level Committee on the issue of Harijan Colony.
The Meghalaya government had constituted the High Level Committee headed by the Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong to look into the demands of relocating the residents of Harijan Colony.
