The CPI-M on Monday staged a sit-in demonstration in Imphal demanding unconditional release of its arrested leader L Sotin Kumar.
While on one hand, the BJP has launched a nationwide pro-CAA campaign and Manipur too joining the campaign, with a massive rally held in Bishnupur. Left parties in the state have demanded the unconditional release of the CPI secretary of Manipur state council.
Sotin Kumar was picked up by the police on the evening of December 20 while returning home from his office.
Even though he was granted bail by the CJM court Imphal West, he was re-arrested and has been in custody since then.
