KSU hopeful on implementation of Inner Line Permit in Meghalaya

With Christmas celebrations coming to an end, the delegation of ruling MDA government in Meghalaya and the opposition Congress is expected to meet Home Minister Amit Shah over the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the State.

Khasi Students’ Union president, Lambok Marngnar, speaking to Northeast Live said that the students’ body is expecting that the Centre will listen to the voice of the people, as the state has faced the issues of influx for many years now.

The KSU President further said that movement demanding implementation of ILP in the State will continue till granted with it.

On being asked about the opposition to Citizenship Amendment Act, Marngnar pointed out that NESO has filed a petition in the Supreme Court and the next hearing is on January 22.
