The India-Japan annual summit slated to be held in Guwahati has been postponed, as per reports.

Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was slated to arrive in Guwahati on December 15 and to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The move comes in the wake of massive anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act protests in Guwahati. The Japanese premier was scheduled to visit Imphal on December 16.

However, the authorities are yet to make any confirmation regarding the shifting of the venue to some other places.
