A sensational conversation caught on camera between senior Congress leader and Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi and the party’s Assam in charge Harish Rawat has put the Congress in the state in a soup.
The already beleaguered Congress has embarrassed itself with Bordoloi exposing the party’s inefficiencies and crisis during the conversation with Rawat just ahead of a press conference at the Rajiv Bhavan in Guwahati.
During the conversation Bordoloi was heard telling Rawat that while the BJP had already identified candidates for 2021 polls, the Congress was not going anywhere with its planning. He categorically termed the ‘AICC as notorious for indecisiveness, and said if the party doesn’t mobilise things within a month or two, it would be staring at another defeat. Bordoloi was also heard making reference of his conversation with Congress president Sonia Gandhi wherein he claimed told the latter that the party takes extremely late decisions.
At a time when the Assam Congress is allegedly fighting a massive leadership crisis, the Nagaon MP was heard seeking a mandate to take decisions on time so that things can be put in place.
