Nagaland Governor RN Ravi is holding a high-level security meeting with top state government officials and security forces at the Raj Bhawan.
According to top sources, State Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, GOC 3 corps, Joint Director SIB (MHA), Inspector General Assam Rifles, Home Commissioner besides officials from other security and intelligence agencies.
The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Government of India setting October 31 deadline to conclude the Naga Peace Talks.
This was informed by Nagaland Governor and interlocutor to Naga Peace Talks RN Ravi in the consultative meeting held in Kohima on Friday with the primary stakeholders, tribal hohos, church leaders and all the minority Non-Naga Tribes and the civil society organisations.
It may be mentioned that RN Ravi also ruled out any possibility of separate flag and constitution as per the stand of the Government of India.
The interlocutor said that the NSCM-IM of trying to delay the settlement by raising the contentious symbolic issues of separate Naga national flag and constitution. Subsequent to this, the NSCN-IM hit out saying that forced union would not be acceptable at any cost.
