Nagaland Governor and interlocutor for Naga Peace talks, RN Ravi has accused the NSCN-IM of adopting a procrastinating attitude to delay the peace deal.
RN Ravi said that the NSCN-IM has raised the contentious symbolic issues of separate Naga national flag and Constitution despite being aware of the Centre’s stand on the matter.
The Nagaland governor also stated that the NSCN-IM has mischievously dragged in the Framework Agreement besides beginning to input imaginary contents into it.
Coming down heavily, the Government of India representative also alleged that the NSCN-IM was misleading the people with absurd assumptions and presumptions.
RN Ravi’s stand comes after he held a consultative meeting with the primary stakeholders of the Naga society represented by the apex leadership of all the 14 Naga tribes of the state. Besides leaders of all the minority non-Naga tribes, the Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation, Naga Tribes Council, Church leaders and civil society organisations.
Framework Agreement with the NSCN-IM and the Agreed position with the Working Committee of NNPGs, were extensively shared with the leaders. Adding to this, pertinent issues were also discussed and doubts on competencies were clarified.
