In a big breakthrough, security forces apprehended two NSCN rebels of the Yung Aung faction from a tourist Lodge in Dimapur.

A joint team of Assam Rifles and Nagaland police had received inputs about the presence of the NSCN rebels near Dimapur railway station subsequent to which an operation was launched in the area. A huge cache of arms and ammunition were seized from the rebels.

According to reports the rebels were extensively involved in extortion activities, planning attacks on Security Forces, smuggling of arms besides forceful recruitment of new cadres.
