As thousands of people in 15 villages under Tali circle are reeling under the impact of the bailey bridge collapse, the office of the Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh has sought information on the status of the existing helipad at Tali so that the choppers can be pressed into action and drop sorties at least twice a week until the bridge is restored.

The administration also sent urgent messages to the food and civil supplies department to drop food grains and other essentials for people.

Meanwhile, the ADC of Tali informed Northeast Live that no irregularities have been detected during the investigation carried out to ascertain facts as to what led to the collapse of the bridge.
