Three persons including Tripura Police Inspector Sukanta Biswas arrested in connection with an attempt to murder case in Agartala.
The three of them including Sohab Mia and Sumit Choudhury were reportedly arrested for attempting to murder Budhhishatta Das, a bank officer. As per reports, on August 4, the three accused tried to kill Das after a bitter scuffle between them, following which Das sustained severe injuries and was later admitted to hospital for treatment.
According to Public prosecutor Bidyut Shutradhar, the police started investigation after Das’s family member filed a case and apprehended Sohab Mia and Sumit Choudhury.
While interrogating the two, they revealed that Sub inspector Sukanta Biswas too is also involved in the case. The accused persons are now sent to 3 day Police remand.
