2 girl students dead after wall collapses in Arunachal’s Tawang

Incessant rains, floods and landslides continue to wreak havoc in the region.

Tragedy struck in Arunachal Pradesh’ Tawang where two girl students died when the wall of the school hostel where they were putting up collapsed following heavy rainfall which triggered a landslide.

The incident took place at the Namtsering Residential School in the wee hours today. The deceased have been identified as 10 year old Rinchin Lhamu, a student of class 5 and Genden Wangmu also a ten year old who was studying in class VI.

Besides, another student was seriously injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Tawang.
